The Vyrexwear Performance Gym Shorts: the 2-in-1 men’s gym shorts you truly need during your workouts. These athletic shorts are made of 90% lyocell and 10% spandex, featuring a built-in liner and two zippered pockets for your phone and keys.
What makes these gym shorts special?
Built-in liner (100% coverage)
The liner feels imperceptible, supportive, breathable, and is completely opaque. Thanks to the combination of the outer short and inner liner, you never have to worry about coverage during squats, lunges, or sprints. It’s a pair of athletic shorts and a liner in one.
Two zippered pockets: phone and keys always secure
Both pockets close with a minimal, seamlessly integrated zipper. Store your keys or cards on the left, and your phone on the right. Nothing falls out while training or running, and everything stays within easy reach.
90% lyocell, 10% spandex
Lyocell is a natural fiber derived from wood cellulose. The fabric feels soft and supple, breathes well, and effectively absorbs moisture, keeping you comfortable even during intense sessions. The 10% spandex provides just enough stretch to move with you through every motion.
Comfortable waistband
No elastic that starts to pinch after 30 minutes. The waistband fits just right: supportive but not restrictive, and it stays in place, even during heavy sets.

The material
What is lyocell?

Made of wood
Lyocell is a fiber made from cellulose: the natural building block of trees. The wood is processed into pulp and then spun into a soft, strong thread. The basis is therefore a natural raw material, not petroleum.

A smart production process
The wood pulp is dissolved in a non-toxic solvent and then spun into fibers. After use, that solvent is largely recovered and reused. In this way, the process is resource-efficient.

Breathable and moisture-regulating
Lyocell absorbs moisture well and releases it again. This makes the fabric feel dry and cool, even during an intense workout.

Gentle on your skin
The fiber is naturally smooth and supple. This feels soft against your skin, unlike the typical synthetic feel of much sportswear. As a cellulose fiber, lyocell is also naturally biodegradable, which polyester is not.

Unique in sportswear
Most sports shorts are made of polyester or nylon: petroleum-based synthetics. Gym shorts made of 90% lyocell are still rare in this industry. With 10% spandex, we combine the comfort of a natural fiber with the stretch you need to move freely.

Lyocell is spun from wood pulp: cellulose, the building block of trees. Polyester is a synthetic material made from petroleum.
Lyocell can absorb moisture into the fiber and release it back into the air. Polyester itself absorbs almost no moisture; sweat primarily remains on the surface.
The lyocell fiber has a smooth surface. This makes the fabric feel soft and supple, without the plastic-like feel you sometimes get with sportswear.
Synthetic fibers such as polyester are known to retain sweat odors faster than cellulose fibers such as lyocell.
As a cellulose fiber, lyocell is naturally biodegradable. Polyester is a synthetic material and does not break down naturally. Please note: the 10% spandex in our shorts is synthetic.
